Upcoming ABLE Card Expiration

Overview

ABLE Visa Cards expire on the last day of the month listed as the expiration date. For example, a card with an expiration date of 12/27 will expire on 12/31/2027. If the ABLE Visa Card associated with your account is expiring at the end of next month, you will need to order a replacement card to ensure uninterrupted spending. Please note that the current card will be deactivated once the replacement card is ordered, and the card balance will be accessible again upon activation of the new card.

How to Replace an Expiring Card

  1. Navigate to the Cardholder’s dashboard and click on the “Account” tab
  2. You will see a banner indicating that the card is due to expire soon. Select the option Order Replacement Card

  3. Follow the prompts and select “Order Card” to complete the card order

Important Things to Know About Replacement Cards

  • Immediate Card Closure: The current card will be closed as soon as the replacement card is ordered. Once the replacement arrives, activate it to regain access to the card balance.
  • New Card Number: For security, replacement cards will have a new card number. If there are any automatic payments set up (e.g., phone, cable, utility bills), you’ll need to update these services with the new card information.
  • Settings and Alerts: All current spending settings and alert preferences will automatically transfer to the replacement card.

Declining a Replacement Card and Closing the Account

If you no longer need the card, select the option to Permanently close the card below the expiring card message. This action will close the account permanently and provide options for returning any remaining card balance.
