Upcoming Card Expiration
Overview
True Link Visa Cards expire on the last day of the month listed as the expiration date. For example, a card with an expiration date of 12/27 will expire on 12/31/2027. If a True Link Card associated with your account is expiring at the end of next month, you will need to order a replacement card to ensure uninterrupted spending. The current card will continue to work until it reaches the expiration date or until a replacement card is activated.
How to Replace an Expiring Card:
- Navigate to the Cardholder’s dashboard. Go to the “Account” tab
You will see a banner indicating that the card is due to expire soon. Select the option “Yes” to open the replacement card order form
Follow the prompts and select “Request Reissue” to complete the card order
Important Things to Know About Replacement Cards
- New Card Number: For security, replacement cards will have a new card number. If there are any automatic payments set up (e.g., phone, cable, utility bills), you’ll need to update these services with the new card information.
- Direct Deposit Updates: If you fund the card via direct deposit, you’ll need to update the account information with the payor for funds to post successfully. Updated direct deposit details can be found in the "Account" tab of the new card’s dashboard once the replacement card order is processed.
- Settings and Alerts: All current spending settings and alert preferences will transfer automatically to the replacement card.
Declining a Replacement Card and Closing the Account
If you no longer need the card, select the option to Permanently close the card below the expiring card message. This action will close the account permanently and provide options for returning any remaining card balance.
